Issue Rationale for bid to be awarded as required per FS 287, DOE 6A-1.01 and School Board Policy

a. Refuse Collection Bid #09-BA-100 – Bid established for the purchase of  refuse collection service to include garbage and recyclable pick-up county wide.  Seventeen (17) bids solicited plus listed on our web site for down load, five (5) bids received and one (1) bid returned.  Recommend No Award for the following:  Class III (Roll Off) Containers in Section 1 and Recyclable Pick-up in Section 2 for Service Area #2 (Keystone Heights).  The vendors awarded are the most qualified responsive bidders meeting specifications.

              Advanced Disposal, 7580 Phillips Highway, Jacksonville, FL 32256 – Section 1 (Service Area #1 & #2)

        Waste Management of FL., Inc., 6501 Greenland Rd., Jacksonville, FL  32256 – Section 2 (Service Area #1)

a. Refuse Collection Bid #09-BA-100:  Estimated $147,000.00
